What is this service?
SRCHN.PROPERTY drafts the renewal on the current terms, advises on registration versus notarisation for the term involved, calculates the applicable stamp duty, and executes the renewal at the Sub-Registrar's office or by notarisation with e-stamping.
A lease does not renew itself - the new term, revised rent and any changed conditions need a fresh deed. Longer leases should be registered again (and attract stamp duty and registration on the new terms); shorter renewals are commonly executed as notarised agreements. The renewal should also update the security deposit record.
Why and when you need it
- Why

- When
- Before the current lease expires.
